About
Competent Response represents a group of individuals from various Emergency Service Agencies who share a common commitment to provide informative and entertaining Emergency Preparedness sessions. Together, we have decades of experience in Emergency response.
Over the last twenty years, our team has helped clients reduce the impact and speed the recovery from emergency events by incorporating the concepts of Planning, Mitigation, Preparedness, and Response into our teaching sessions.
Competent Response’s programs are specifically designed for your individual site and staffing patterns to ensure that your resources are efficiently utilized. Towards this end and prior to conducting any training, we conduct a site visit and evaluate the physical construction and staffing patterns of each client. We also review the building fire safety plan.
Time commitment is minimal as most of our programs are designed to be completed in 60-90 minutes. For your convenience, our programs are offered virtually or in-person at your workplace site.
Competent Response has collaborated with various agencies such as Police, Fire and EMS to develop programs for various corporations including some national programs for some major law firms. This has included the development, implementation and training of internal Incident Command, Fire Warden and Medical teams in addition to non-violent conflict resolutions techniques for front line staff. The team has travelled and taught throughout Canada, the United States and South America.
